Board Meetings

The Board of Education has adopted a policy that permits citizens, under certain circumstances, to address the Board on a variety of topics of general concern to the operation of our schools. The Board welcomes visitors to Board meetings and is interested in hearing from the taxpayers and patrons of the school system. However, Board members will not respond at this meeting to comments or questions from speakers or make immediate decisions. The Board has established a few simple rules for public comment.  Each person wishing to address the Board must sign a roster before the meeting begins.  Each person is limited to five minutes and the public comment portion of  the  meeting  will not exceed 30 minutes.  Any citizen who has a specific complaint involving an employee must first address the issue with the superintendent and, if not resolved, then  may request to speak with the Board.  However, certain matters involving personnel and students must be heard in closed session.  The Superintendent will inform you whether your complaint is one which should be referred to an executive session with the Board.  By signing the roster before the meeting, you agree to abide by these rules.

2024 Board Meeting Dates

Regular Board of Education meetings are held at 6 p.m. (unless otherwise noted in the agenda announcements) typically on the second Tuesday of each month in the Board Room of the Glynn County Schools Administrative Office located at 5505 Altama Ave. in Brunswick, Ga.  Work sessions are typically held on the Thursday preceding the regular meeting, starting at 5:00 p.m.  The following are the board's 2024 meeting dates:
